In consideration of my acceptance to sail in this race, I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages or death, personal injury or property damage I may have, or which may subsequently accrue to me, as a result of my participation in this race.

This release is intended to discharge the organizing authority, sponsors, promoting clubs, officials, any involved municipalities and other public entities, and the organizers of the Monsoon Cup 2009, from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in this race, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above.

I further understand that serious accidents occasionally occur during yacht racing, and that participants in yacht racing occasionally sustain mortal or serious personal injuries, and/or property damage, as a consequence. I knowingly assume the risks of yacht racing and release and hold harmless all of the persons or entities mentioned above who might otherwise be liable to me or my heirs or assigns for damages.

As skipper and captain of the vessel and team, I further understand that serious accidents occasionally occur during yacht racing, and that the participants including my crew members in yacht racing can occasionally sustain mortal or serious personal injuries, and/or property damage, as a consequence. I knowingly assume the risks of yacht racing and release and by entering in this event and confirming my and my team members registration do hereby hold harmless all of the persons or entities mentioned above who might otherwise be liable to me or my crew members or my heirs or my crew members heirs or assigns for damages. 

As Skipper and Captain of the team by making this declaration I have brought all of my team members attention to this risk and release on their behalf of this indemnity.
